MEDIA LAUNCH

  • THE CHALLENGE: Wired is a monthly Technology magazine, published in print and online editions, that focuses on how emerging technologies affect culture, the economy, and politics. Owned by Condé Nast. They hold an annual Media Launch and look for an event company who can provide that ‘cool presentation’ that allows their readers and the media attending the event to be able to go online via a 30 laptop display; they insist on edgy entertainment and a hidden hard to find esoteric venue for their media launch.
  • THE SUCCESS: We took the event 2 years running to venues off the beaten track and transformed each with lounge furniture, hip DJ that rocked the night away, floating Buddha surrounded by flowers and most important a display of 30 monitors allowing the crowd to access wired online and register for their yearly grand prize a Volkswagen to the winner. 30 custom made frosted acrylic pedestals were made to accommodate the computer screens. The media and WIRED guests talked about the event for weeks.

10TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
NEW YORK CITY

  • THE CHALLENGE: Crain's New York Business is the trusted voice of the New York business community—connecting businesses across the five boroughs by and  for real estate, covering the news from politics, to health, to transportation to finance. They currently stretch from coast to coast and cover every major city in the United States. They were celebrating their 10th Anniversary in New York City and were looking for a events company to assist them in their Media Launch and 10th Year Celebration.
  • THE SUCCESS: We were selected to assist Crain’s in choosing a venue. We suggested Byrant Park, a centrally located event venue nestled in the backside of New York Public Library and Bryant Park, located at 42nd and 6th Ave. a prime location for guests and the media. We assisted Crain’s in a series of branding displays using LED screens, GOBO branding light displays and collateral in the form of printed large posters. We also suggested rearrangement of the furniture and bringing in more lounge settings for guests to gather and discuss the latest Crain’s news at hand. The event resulted in prescription increase and media coverage.
